Introduce yourself and your company. What does your team specialize in?

I am Javier Novoa, Chief Sales Officer at Tecalis. Headquartered in Spain, Tecalis is a leading provider of digital identity and commercial management software, delivering RegTech tools that help companies grow their sales and scale. We specialize in creating secure, frictionless digital customer journeys for enterprises across highly regulated sectors like telecommunications, banking, financial services, and mobility.

Our core service suite includes KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) identity verification, advanced anti-fraud controls, biometric authentication, and certified electronic signatures. Operating as a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) under the strict European eIDAS regulation, we deliver RegTech solutions that don't just ensure absolute compliance, but fundamentally transform the customer experience. By integrating our technologies—such as the Tecalis Customer Hub—we empower organizations to automate their sales channels, seamlessly onboard users, and finalize complex contracting processes in minutes rather than days.

What makes Tecalis different from other agencies?

Our primary differentiator is our holistic approach to the customer journey combined with uncompromising regulatory rigor. Many providers offer disjointed identity APIs, which often force businesses to choose between strict compliance and a smooth user experience. At Tecalis, we bridge that gap. The milestone that best represents our success this year is our deployment for Ibercaja Pensumo—an innovative pension cashback fintech. We designed a fully automated onboarding flow that seamlessly handled data validation, document verification, and eIDAS-compliant electronic signatures. The results were immediate: we reduced user registration time to under 120 seconds, achieved a 96% process conversion rate, and slashed onboarding fraud by 98.7%. This project perfectly encapsulates our ability to turn heavy regulatory requirements into a true competitive advantage for our clients.

What does winning a TechBehemoths Award mean to you and your team?

Winning the TechBehemoths Award in 2025 is a profound honor that directly impacts our operational momentum and strategic vision. This is a repeated recognition for Tecalis; we have proudly won in previous years—including 2021, 2022, and 2023—in categories like Artificial Intelligence and Custom Software Development. However, sustaining this level of excellence into 2025 is what makes this specific milestone so meaningful to our team.

For our day-to-day operations, this award validates the heavy investments we've made in integrating generative AI and advanced automation into our proprietary SaaS and PaaS products. It energizes our engineering and sales teams, proving that our relentless focus on building secure, scalable technology resonates on a global stage. More importantly, it reinforces the trust our clients place in us, showing them that their digital transformation is being powered by a consistently top-tier, internationally recognized technology partner.

Who was your biggest client in 2025? And all the time?

Tecalis partners with some of the most demanding enterprise clients in the world, particularly within the telecommunications, banking, and mobility sectors. Historically and continuing into 2025, our most significant collaborations have been with industry titans such as Orange, Telefónica, and Vodafone.

A standout example of our operational scale is our ongoing partnership with Orange Spain. Operating as a multi-brand group serving over 20 million customers, Orange required a massive transformation of their sales and activation channels. We integrated the Tecalis Customer Hub across their entire network. Today, our technology is deployed in over 6,000 points of sale, managing high-budget, mission-critical commercial operations. The most impressive metric? We have successfully processed over 10 million activations with the Tecalis seal. Similarly, our custom solutions for Telefónica/Movistar have reduced their in-store non-commercial sales times by 80% through guided self-activation kiosks. Managing these multi-million-euro operational flows for top-tier multinationals showcases the absolute robustness, security, and scalability of Tecalis's infrastructure.

How has this recognition (both the Award itself and being part of TechBehemoths) impacted your team, clients, or plans for 2026?

The impact of the TechBehemoths Award extends far beyond a trophy; it serves as a powerful catalyst for our 2026 growth roadmap. From a team perspective, it is a tremendous morale booster that validates the tireless innovation of our engineers and product developers. For our clients, it acts as an independent seal of trust and credibility, assuring them that they are backed by an award-winning leader in Artificial Intelligence and digital identity.

Looking toward 2026, this recognition significantly enhances our international visibility, opening doors to new markets and strategic enterprise connections. We already manage international, cross-border operations for major clients like Renfe—facilitating electronic signatures for massive contracts across Europe, America, and the Middle East. The prestige of the TechBehemoths community gives us the global leverage to scale these international operations further. Our 2026 plans are heavily focused on expanding our footprint outside of Spain, taking our QTSP-certified RegTech and SaaS solutions to new global enterprises that are ready to modernize their security and onboarding frameworks.

Based on your experience, what advice would you give to companies looking to stand out in the tech industry?

If there is one key lesson we've learned at Tecalis, it is that true innovation happens at the intersection of robust security and effortless user experience. My advice to any tech company looking to stand out is to stop treating regulation and compliance as a necessary friction.

Too often, in sectors like FinTech or Telecommunications, companies build platforms that are highly secure but agonizingly slow for the end-user, leading to high abandonment rates. To truly differentiate yourself, you must shift this paradigm. Design your technology to turn operational hurdles into a competitive advantage.
