Meet the Winners: morphsites - TechBehemoths Awards 2025

Summary
Many digital projects fail before they even start.
In this interview, morphsites explains why starting with the right problem, not the technology, is important for achieving results.
Welcome to TechBehemoths’ Meet the Winners video interview series.
In this edition, we speak with Pete Fairburn, Director and Co-Founder of morphsites, a team focused on solving complex digital challenges behind websites, ecommerce platforms, and connected systems.
Introduce yourself and your company. What does your team specialize in?
I'm Pete Fairburn, and I'm a director and co-founder.
At morphsites, we help businesses fix digital systems that are not really supporting the way they sell or operate. That might be a website that's not generating enquiries, an ecommerce platform that is difficult to manage or is not growing as it should, or systems that don't talk to each other properly.
Our work focuses on solving those kinds of problems.
What do you believe sets your company apart in your market or service category?
Many digital projects fail because people jump straight into design or development without really understanding the business problems that they're trying to solve.
We spend a lot of time and energy on discovery and strategy.
First, we look at the customer journey, the commercial goals, and the internal systems behind the website.
So we're solving the right problems before building anything.
What does winning a Tech Behemoths Award mean for your company's operations?
For us, it's recognition of the team and the way we approach our work.
What we particularly like about the TechBehemoths Awards is that they're based on merit rather than paid placements, so they're genuine.
It's always nice for the team to see their work recognised in that way.
Who is your biggest client in 2025 in all time?
In 2025, our biggest client was a global business in the commercial vehicle industry.
We helped them integrate a customer portal with a loyalty system and built a platform that supports their brand, products, and customer experience.
Our all-time biggest client is harder to pin down. It's probably a tie between a large B to B wholesale clothing business, a legal tech firm, and an automotive leasing company.
All very different industries, but we use the same methodical approach to solve complex digital problems.
How has this recognition impacted your team, clients, or plans for 2026?
Recognition like this mainly reinforces trust with our clients and helps more businesses discover the work we do and how we can help them.
Looking ahead, we're continuing to focus on more complex digital platforms and deeper discovery work at the start of projects so clients can make better decisions before projects begin.
We know this process works and delivers the best results, so we're going to keep on doing what's successful.
From your own experience, what advice would you give to companies that want to stand out in the tech industry?
Don't start with the technology, start with the problems you're trying to solve.
The companies that stand out are the ones that really understand their customers and their business model and then use technology carefully to support that.
Good strategy always comes before good code.
Thank you, Pete, for joining us and for being part of Meet the Winners.
