Welcome to this exclusive interview with RP Singh, CEO of Seasia Infotech. Thank you for accepting our invitation!

Hello RP Singh! Welcome to TechBehemoths. To set the mood, please tell us about yourself. Your childhood, education, and professional development.

Thank you, it’s a pleasure to be here. I come from a humble background, growing up in a small town where values like discipline, hard work, and curiosity were instilled early on. From a young age, I was fascinated by technology and how it could solve real-world problems. I pursued my education in computer science and later went on to complete executive programs that strengthened my understanding of business management and leadership. Over the years, I transitioned from a hands-on technologist to a strategist, driven by a passion to build systems that scale, not just code that runs.

Can you tell us about your journey from founding Seasia Infotech to leading the Group Seasia today?

What started as a modest IT services company in 2000 with a few passionate professionals has now evolved into a global ecosystem, Group Seasia, spanning software services, consulting, digital products, quality assurance, and R&D labs. The journey has been full of learning, adaptation, and growth. We’ve scaled not just in numbers, but in vision, taking bold steps into AI, blockchain, and platform engineering. Today, I lead a group of companies that are as diverse as they are specialized, all united by a common DNA: to build intelligent, impactful, and future-ready solutions.

What challenges did you face when building multiple companies in the tech industry?

Building even one company is tough, and scaling a group of them is exponentially challenging. Some key hurdles included maintaining cultural alignment across teams, ensuring innovation without compromising delivery excellence, and navigating market shifts like the 2008 recession or the more recent AI disruption. But challenges often came with opportunities. Each obstacle sharpened our strategic focus, taught us resilience, and forced us to evolve from just a vendor to a reliable value partner.

Seasia Infotech has grown significantly since its founding in 2000. What are the key factors behind this growth and success? What do you believe sets Seasia Infotech apart in such a competitive industry?

I’d say three things: our people, our culture of engineering excellence, and our obsession with client success. We’ve always believed in co-creating value with our clients, not just delivering on contracts. Our growth has been largely organic, fueled by repeat business and referrals. What sets us apart is our ability to combine deep tech expertise with domain understanding, especially in regulated sectors like healthcare, BFSI, and public services.

With over 50,000 satisfied clients in 36+ countries, how do you manage communication and quality assurance across global teams?

It’s a blend of robust systems and strong human values. We’ve institutionalized best practices through agile delivery frameworks, centralized quality assurance units, and real-time collaboration tools. But more than tools, it's our people who make it work. Dedicated client success managers, culturally aware delivery heads, and a relentless focus on outcomes leading the way. We also invest heavily in continuous training and cross-cultural awareness to ensure seamless engagement across time zones.

Seasia Infotech has expertise in AI, Blockchain, Metaverse, and more. What new technology excites you the most, and why? How do you see AI and Blockchain influencing the IT industry in the next 5 years?

AI is undoubtedly the most transformative force today, and what excites me most is its convergence with other technologies like blockchain and IoT. The next five years will redefine business models, not just enhance workflows. AI will move from assistance to autonomy. Blockchain will play a pivotal role in building trust, especially in finance, supply chains, and healthcare. Together, these technologies will reshape governance, compliance, and customer experiences. At Seasia, we are investing heavily in R&D labs and building proprietary platforms to stay ahead of the curve.

As an angel investor and board member, what qualities do you look for in startups and entrepreneurs?

I look for clarity, grit, and coachability. A clear vision is non-negotiable, but the ability to adapt when things go sideways is even more important. I also assess whether the founding team has the right mix of passion and pragmatism. Product-market fit is important, but founder-market fit is crucial. As an investor and mentor, I look for entrepreneurs who are not only solving problems but are also obsessed with their users and open to learning.

Your passions for wildlife photography, golf, philanthropy, and environmental conservation: do these interests add balance to your life? How do you balance your professional commitments with them?

Absolutely. These aren’t just hobbies, they’re a source of grounding and perspective. Wildlife photography, for example, teaches you patience, timing, and the beauty of observation – qualities essential to leadership. Golf clears the mind, while philanthropy gives purpose to success. I believe that work-life balance isn't about choosing one over the other, but about conscious integration. I block time for my passions just like I do for board meetings; it’s a matter of priorities at the end of the day.

If given the opportunity, which person would you want to meet, dead or alive? And what would you talk about?

That’s a tough one, but I’d say Steve Jobs. His ability to blend design, engineering, and business acumen is something I’ve always admired. I’d love to talk to him about how he balanced vision with execution, and how he dealt with setbacks, especially during Apple’s early days. There's something timeless about his philosophy of building products that are not just functional, but emotionally resonant.

And to conclude, could you please send a message and advice to our readers?

Certainly. The future belongs to those who stay curious, move fast, and stay human in their approach. Technology is not just about automation; it’s about augmentation. As builders, founders, and technologists, we have a responsibility to create with empathy and scale with ethics. Dream big, execute with discipline, and never lose sight of the impact your work can have on people’s lives.
