From a young age, Hudi Shehu was passionate about computers. Growing up with a family-run local radio station, he became familiar with PC hardware and broadcasting tools. At 14, he created an online news media for his town. Later, he co-founded Gerid, a clothing line, with his family's support. Hudi now runs Postjer Group - a company based in the UK that specializes in technology, software, marketing, business development, and retail. Postjer Group serves clients in Albania, Austria, Germany, and the UK, with plans to expand further.

In this exclusive interview for TechBehemoths, we invite you to learn more about Hudi Shehu and Postjer Group's journey.

Hello Hudi! To set the mood, could you please introduce yourself? We'd love to hear about your childhood, your educational journey, and the path of your professional growth that has led you to where you are now.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my journey with all readers. I was born in Memaliaj, a small city in southern Albania. I maintain a strong connection to this place, which evokes some of my most treasured childhood memories. From 1998 to 2004, my family operated a local radio station, where I first became familiar with PC hardware and other broadcasting tools. My family instilled in me the values of hard work, humility, and persistence. I started to use PCs when I was 6, and I mix them both with my passion for football.

When I was 14, my focus was more on web design, so I created an online news media for my town to share the latest news and interview successful people from there. After that, with my brother and family's support, we founded Gerid, a clothing line that worked from 2017 to the end of 2019. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic during this period, we were unable to proceed with business. During this time, I went to the university and graduated in 2022 with a degree in business informatics. In June 2021, I returned to the tech industry to run Postjer. Simply put, my childhood played a significant role in shaping who I am today.

How did you create Postjer? What does the name Postjer mean? What is the philosophy behind it and its real values? 

Postjer was founded in June 2021, registered in the UK, and our main focus was web design and development. But for me, the vision and goal were very clear. Postjer is an Albanian version of Postman, and the idea behind this name is, to me, the main chain between businesses and end customers. With our services, businesses can deliver their products and services in the right way to their customers. After securing our initial clients in a fiercely competitive market, we received requests for additional services related to technology, marketing, and design. I knew that this day would come, and during that time, I tried to build a small team to deliver quality projects to customers. This sets us apart and demonstrates the true worth of our company.

As the CEO of Postjer Group, tell us more about the company, the team behind it, and its secret ingredient for success.

Postjer Group is where visionary ideas take shape, businesses thrive, and future possibilities become realities. A dedication to excellence, a love of teamwork, and an unwavering desire to think bigger are the hallmarks of our journey. Our team is the heart of the company; we are around 15, and we are all working for one mission: to empower businesses to thrive in the digital era. Postjer Group has three subsidiaries. We also operate with Postjer Agency, Postjer Consulting, and Postjer Ventures. We prioritise customer support and team consistency as ingredient of our success

On the same note, I couldn't miss the fact that Postjer's core segments are divided into 3: Agency, Consulting, and Venture. Can you please elaborate more on this topic, and why did you decide to split the services in this way? 

Postjer's core segments are divided into three, working as subsidiaries to implement more high-quality services. This division of the three cores stems from the fact that they did not commence operations simultaneously. Additionally, each of them has a unique team management structure and business model. At Postjer Agency, we work with every client to help them meet their needs. Postjer Consulting exclusively works closely with enterprises, offering consulting services in sustainability, energy, finance, engineering, and marketing. Postjer Ventures is a new entity that will begin operations in December 2024. The focus will be to empower startups or actual businesses that want to expand and transform through technology and marketing. The focus of Postjer Ventures is also to have investors and advisors support every startup to accelerate theirs and bring more value to them. 

Do you have any specific gender diversity and inclusion policies that your company has implemented?

At Postjer Group, we are deeply committed to fostering a workplace that upholds gender equality. Our efforts extend beyond mere policies; they are ingrained in our organizational culture and daily practices. We firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their gender, should have equal access to opportunities. Whether it’s career advancement, participation in training programs, or assignment to important projects, we ensure a level playing field for all employees.

We actively track gender representation metrics. This includes monitoring the percentage of women in leadership roles and ensuring pay parity. Transparency is key, and our team regularly report the progress to the entire organization.

Could you provide insights into your company's commitment to sustainability, particularly regarding your use of 100% renewable energy?

Innovation is key to achieving sustainability goals—challenges such as decarbonization of operations to water conservation are addressed through technologies that drive sustainable transformation. Our commitment to sustainability is very clear; we are supporting startups and also building in-house products following the SDG. At this moment, Postjer is involved, and some of the SDG points are our primary targets. I can specifically mention economic growth, social impact, and climate.

We power all of our servers in the cloud with 100% renewable energy. This is what we are focused at the moment, all our clouds to be 100% sustainable and continue to invest in new sustainable products, like travel app we are building to promote the sustainable venues, places and with AI to make things easier to create a social impact. 

What differences do you feel in the IT market in Albania and the United Kingdom, considering that you manage your business in these countries? 

The market in the United Kingdom is more experienced and reliable, as are the markets in the United States and those working globally. Working globally brings with it high standards and quality, as well as increased opportunities for larger projects. In the meantime, Albania's IT market was growing at a steady pace, demonstrating reliability and a growing number of high-quality projects tailored to customer needs. I think that the difference between those two countries depends on the businesses level of education about the technology processes and how they want to manage all the  projects. Our first base and main market is the UK, but we have seen a growth in the Albanian market, and a lot of businesses are going to change their daily operations using technology and innovative practices to make them more simple and flexible for everyone.

What honestly sets Postjer apart from your competitors, from service quality, price range and industry expertise?

I believe that Postjer Group distinguishes itself from competitors through its exceptional service quality and industry expertise, which has led to a significant increase in word-of-mouth clientele. We collaborate closely and strive to provide prompt customer support, ensuring that customers receive their solutions within a few hours. I should mention that the price range can influence and cause businesses to reconsider, but we strive to work with businesses that have a minimum budget for specific projects. 

Being transparent, to what extent did TechBehemoths contribute to Postjer’s operations growth and business development? If there is any contribution, of course!

I was eager to respond to the question: “How can we help everyone in this industry understand the importance of being part of this platform?” To be honest with readers, when I first saw TechBehemoths, I initially thought it was similar to other platforms and simply a waste of time. I registered, but I didn't use it much; only one day, a customer sent us a message, prompting us to engage. It was incredibly simple, and on a subsequent day, after we had added all our information, more leads began to flow in. We received numerous leads from similar companies and customers. Our profile was becoming increasingly richer with projects and summaries, and we also won seven awards from TechBehemoths, the most recent of which was through public voting. More transparency stands out as the true value of a company. I would describe it in a few words. TechBehemoths is a community where all IT companies and businesses should be united in one mission: to change the future. 

What could be a big change that would set you apart from your competitors in the next few years?

In this competitive market, I learned that if you don’t give the solution to the client but only offer them a service, soon you will face failure. With this methodology, we started at Postjer, and I think this is the key to success. We have 0% lost customers, and we manage all of their brands digitally. Additionally, we began a few months ago by establishing two in-house startups that aim to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their daily operations. Our goal is to become a company that primarily focuses on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while also supporting initiatives from various startups.

How do you contribute to or facilitate a nice working environment, your team and the Postjer community?

It's the best feeling to work with my team and our community. I try to do it in such a way that everyone feels comfortable and trusts everyone on my team. I am also involved in the daily operations of large projects, meeting potential clients or partners, and sometimes doing quality assurance. You know why? The feeling that I have when it looks like I started everything from this stage makes me more thankful and humble that this is just the beginning of a long and successful journey, not just for me, but for all of us at Postjer Group.

Is custom e-commerce software development a current industry trend? Are you considering expanding your services beyond your fields?

We are actively working on this trend, and I can confidently state that it is currently gaining popularity among all businesses in the markets we serve. We have a lot of customers for eCommerce development in Albania, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland. We aim to expand our team to better understand this trend and provide them with additional eCommerce solutions, such as digital marketing and customer support for their shops, to ensure they have everything they need to embark on this journey. Postjer Agency is working with different frameworks to achieve the results and to fit the needs, AI can mention here Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce). We try to deliver the best quality service, obtaining an effective resource with an attractive interface and decent functionality;

Can you share some success stories already born at Postjer Group?

Postjer Group has been working with several companies around the globe, and I can share the case study of E Thirty Nine, located in the UK. With our solutions, we have brought those customers more than 700 customers in 3 months, with a conversion rate of about 37%. We have different campaigns and case studies as well for our clients in the USA, Albania, and the DACH region. I'll be happy to share the case study for E Thirty Nine with all of you. Postjer Group with the ventures subsidiaries is bringing on the Group more brands across different industries. We just closed the deal, and we have a marketing and lead agency only for dental clinics, we are part of jewellery industry and also part of construction media. In those projects and brands we have now in our Group we are getting bugger and have more success stories for different customers

Postjer Group is also ready to launch an in house platform for hospitality, where restaurants will have the delivery and reservation management in one place. For this app, we are working hard to get the beta version until the last quarter of 2024.

I know you like Football, and so do we here at TechBehemoths. On this note, how far do you think Albania will go through at Euro 2024?

Football was a dream when I was a child, I tried to play, but not in a professional division. I am enjoying the participation of Albania in Euro 2024, as it's our second time and with Croatia we played like a big national team and in this group we tried to do our best. With Spain the things are very difficult, but I have something to say that if our guys will win against Spain, we will reach until the last stage. But these competitions it has the most highly performance teams for the moment, and even we don’t pass the group I am sure that we introduce Albania in the right way and showed all the world, who are Albanian fans.
