Aleksandar Memca founded IWConnect in 2004, starting with a handful of programmers in one room in Bitola, North Macedonia. He still runs the company today as Founder and Managing Partner. The bet at the time was that Bitola's talent pool could compete directly with the dominant offshore markets, and that connectivity and data would be where the real problems sat. Twenty-two years on, IWConnect works from six offices across North Macedonia, Serbia, and the Netherlands, delivering enterprise integration, data, application engineering, cloud operations, and AI for clients in Europe and North America.

We run more than 100 client engagements a year across integration, data, application engineering, cloud operations, and AI. The number moves because the shape of the work does. Some engagements are focused six to twelve week builds: a platform migration, an integration layer, a proof of concept that has to prove itself before anything scales. Others run for years, including managed services contracts, integration platforms we operate day to day, and dedicated engineering teams embedded with a client's own group. Several of our client relationships have run past a decade, which tells you more about how we work than an annual project count does.

Every project is individual, therefore a custom approach and offer is made for each client.

Our mission is to create outstanding value for our customers and empower them to outsmart their competition. Values only mean anything when they cost you something, so here is where ours do. We tell you what we actually think. If a platform you already own solves the problem, we say so. If AI does not belong in a workflow, we say so. If the scope you brought us is larger than the problem you described, we scope it down. Some of those conversations end with us billing less. We have them anyway, because advice you cannot trust is worth nothing. We do not build in dependency. We are vendor agnostic by choice, and we keep your architecture portable so that swapping a platform, a model, or a partner later is a change rather than a rebuild. That makes us easier to leave. We would rather earn the next engagement than trap you in the last one. We commit to dates and raise problems early. We treat an estimate as a commitment. When a delivery is at risk, you hear it from us while there is still time to act. That holds on a multi-year program the same way it holds on a six-week build. We argue before we advise. Our culture runs on people challenging each other's reasoning regardless of seniority. Any recommendation that reaches you has already survived that, which is most of what you are paying for. We give knowledge away. We teach, publish, and invest in the communities our people came from without keeping score. Hard problems are what make an engineer worth hiring, so we keep seeking them out.
