TRUTH, TRUST & TRANSPARENCY We encourage and practice open communication between all levels within the company and between us and our clients. In most of our projects, we invite our clients to be part of all internal communication channels. We encourage, promote, and appreciate the self-management of teams and strongly discourage micromanagement. That is why we don’t have team leads. All teams are self-managed by all the team members. We do not hide bad news and expect and encourage our employees to do the same between themselves, their seniors, and our clients. We have an open floor office plan with no separate office for any position, including the CEO. COURAGE We encourage our employees to speak up without being afraid of anyone’s position in the company. To enforce this idea, we have introduced Sir Carr®, a physical figure that constantly reminds us to break the hierarchy-based Sir culture. This is the only Sir in the company, who doesn’t like anyone else to be called Sir. Anyone who calls someone else Sir is fined – they must pay Rs. 50 fine to Sir Carr®. Sir Carr® is a registered trademark of DPL. We call our employees Rebels. We encourage them to be like Allama Iqbal and Che Guvera, and don’t be afraid of breaking the status quo. We even have a Rebel logo displayed outside the building. ETHICAL We do not take projects from interest-based businesses like banks and insurance companies. We have introduced Alnair®, a DPL-designed health benefit plan that is free of interest. Alnair® is also a registered trademark of DPL. EXCELLENCE We pick and choose exclusive, challenging projects. We try to do better than expected. To specify a few projects, we were a technology partner of a multi-million dollar exit of an auto marketing company that was bought by a Fortune 500 company in the US. We are tech providers of a startup that provides smart community solutions to tens of thousands of apartments in the US. The startup has raised multiple rounds and is currently valued at over $100M USD FUN We encourage open communication within all experience levels of employees. You can see co-founders playing Xbox and foosball with other employees. We celebrate birthdays and conduct trips and outings that are fun-filled. We have implemented a program that supports the creation of Circles. These Circles are clubs with a touch of flat and fun culture. Our rebels have so far created – and are managing on their own – clubs for public speaking, adventure, sports and social activities. Anyone can create and share memes for anyone else in the company, irrespective of their position (keeping in moral limits, of course).
