Interview with Ganesh Verma - Founder and Director of MoogleLabs

Ganesh Verma is the founder and director of MoogleLabs, a leading AI ML company from Canada and offices in India. Ganseh was passioned about technology starting back when he was young, and his progress on the corporate ladder encouraged him to become an entrepreneur.

In this exclusive interview for TechBehemoths, we invite you to discover more about Ganesh's journey in the tech sector, and the entire story behind MoogleLabs.

Hi Ganesh, thank you for accepting this interview! Please tell us a little about yourself. Your background and how did you come to this point?

Ah, where to begin? MoogleLabs was not a lightbulb moment but rather a slow progression fueled by my entire journey. Growing up, I pursued higher education in computer sciences.

Then, I worked in the IT sector. During this time, I noticed the disconnect in the need for and availability of revolutionary technologies. Hence, I decided to set up MoogleLabs, a company dedicated to offering services in the latest technologies, including AI services, machine learning, Blockchain, Metaverse, and more.

The early days were rough. Bootstrapped budgets, late nights fueled by ambition, more work than ever before, and a lot of decisions to make my vision a reality.  But there were victories, too. For every small business, we empowered a validation and our fuel.

Failures, of course, came hand in hand. Products that flopped and partnerships that soured. But with each fall, we learned, we adapted, and we rose stronger.

How did you come into the tech industry? Was there, at any point, a moment, where you said “Alright, this is what I want to do”!?

I have always been curious about technology since I was quite young. Also, at the time, it was the new revolution, something out of the ordinary, so it did make sense for me to pursue it further. Then, when I was climbing the corporate ladder, I understood that I wanted to reach a position where I could make the right decisions, and that is exactly what I did. Entrepreneurship is what got me that right, and I have been working on keeping good on that thought ever since.

What do you do outside of your work, to deal with its daily stresses?

Work at MoogleLabs can be a whirlwind, a constant juggle of deadlines, demos, and dreaming up the next big thing. So, to keep my head from spinning and the stress from bubbling over, I've learned to carve out spaces for my own sanity, my own non-binary life, you see.

First, there's nature. I take as many walks outside as I can to make sure that I am close to nature. A quick jog, a few deep breaths, and the world comes back into focus.

On weekends, there's family. Spending time with my wife and kids, playing cricket in the park, sharing stories under the stars – that's where I draw my true strength.

It's not always perfect, this juggling act, but it's mine.

What are your plans for the future? Is there any specific end goal you’re chasing?

The future for MoogleLabs, and for me, is as vast and exciting. We're not chasing one specific end goal, but rather a constellation of possibilities, each one driven by our core mission: to democratize technology and make it a powerful tool for good in everyone's lives.

We want to empower everyday entrepreneurs and help create a tech-savvy generation. Keeping our foot in the present and the future at all times to create better products, not only for our clients but also for the public.

So, to answer your question, our future is not about reaching a specific destination, but about embarking on a journey of endless possibilities.

What does a usual weekday in the life of Ganesh Verma look like? Do you take time off during weekends?

Ah, the life of an entrepreneur comes with its own whirlwind of passion, deadlines, and moments of pure, unadulterated chaos.

On the Weekdays, I wake up early, go for a quick walk, do light exercise, have some tea, and get ready for work. Then, I reach the office to go through my emails, reports, and to-do lists.

My team is my family, and their needs are my priority. Whether it's brainstorming with my developers over steaming cups of coffee or calming the pre-pitch jitters of my marketing lead, I'm there, a captain navigating the ever-changing course of our startup.

Then, it is time for meetings and a lot of work. Then, it is time to head home, have food with the family, and read some before calling it a night.

For the weekends: This is the time to spend more time with the family and in nature. I also like to read a bit more on the weekends. Sometimes, it is light reading, like fiction. But often, it is something related to IT. Reading the tool keeps me updated on the latest trends and helps me see patterns to predict the future.

What are the struggles you have faced, or perhaps face presently and how do you and your company go about getting past such hurdles?

The entrepreneurial journey is paved with both triumphs and tribulations, and MoogleLabs has had its fair share of both. Here are some of the struggles we've faced and how we've tackled them:

Securing funding, especially in the early stages, was a constant hurdle. We bootstrapped for as long as we could, juggling resources and negotiating creative deals. I believe that it was our unwavering passion and the traction we gained with early adopters that convinced others to have trust in us.

Finding the right talent is always a challenge. The tech market is competitive when it comes to gifted resources. We harbored talented individuals and gave them a place to grow. For example, professionals in blockchain technology are not easy to come by as it is a comparatively new field. The same goes for almost all technologies we provide expertise in.

Currently, the biggest challenge that all IT companies are facing is the tumultuous nature of AI. We are overcoming the challenge with relentless optimism, teamwork, and innovation.

MoogleLabs is still young, and the challenges we face will only evolve. But with our unwavering spirit, our dedicated team, and our unyielding belief in the power of tech to empower everyone, we know we can overcome any hurdle and build a future where technology is not just for the privileged few but for all.

What have the many years of working experience taught you? Would there be anything you’d like to share with fledgling entrepreneurs?

The years of entrepreneurship have been both humbling and exhilarating. They've taught me some priceless lessons, not just about business, but about life itself.

For new entrepreneurs, firstly, remember hustle is your road, and passion is what will take you across it. Your initial team should be people you trust and who share your vision. It is the only way you will keep your business running 24/7.

Also, take the time to build a community, celebrate the small victories, practice empathy, and never stop learning. Lastly, do not forget to enjoy the ride.

These are just a few takeaways from my own entrepreneurial adventure. Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all recipe for success. Every journey is unique; every challenge comes with its own lessons. But with a healthy dose of passion, perseverance, and a willingness to learn, you, too, can create something truly remarkable. So, go forth, young entrepreneurs, chase your dreams, and leave your mark on the world!

How do you ensure a stable, productive, and happy working environment for your employees?

Building a stable, productive, and happy work environment at MoogleLabs is a constant priority for me. We do so by facilitating a culture of trust and respect where open communication is encouraged. I understand the importance of work-life balance and well-being, and company policies reflect the same. There are celebrations and team-building activities to keep everyone engaged.

Lastly, offering appropriate opportunities for growth and development is necessary to keep your talent around. So, we offer recognition and rewards while offering career development plans and learning opportunities to every team member.

Creating a stable, productive, and happy work environment is an ongoing process, but we're committed to making MoogleLabs a place where people love to come to work. By focusing on fostering trust, respect, well-being, growth, and a sense of purpose, we believe we can create a truly thriving and fulfilling environment for everyone.

If you had to write a short paragraph containing an honest view of yourself as a person, from your worst to your best traits and skills, how would it go?

Someone else might have a more objective answer to that question. However, I am nothing if not introspective. I am an amalgamation of contradictions. A dreamer and a meticulous planner.

I can inspire a room with my vision and then trip over my own ambition. Tenacity is my middle name, but doubt whispers in my ear like a persistent cricket.

I'm a master juggler, keeping a dozen projects aloft but sometimes dropping the most precious things.

I'm a leader, a mentor, a cheerleader, and sometimes, a stubborn mule. But through it all, one thing remains constant: a relentless belief in the power of technology to bridge divides and make the world a little brighter.

So, yes, I'm Ganesh Verma, entrepreneur, dreamer, techie, and a chai enthusiast – a work in progress, always striving to be the best version of myself, one line of code, one heartfelt connection, one cup of chai at a time.

Thank you for the interview, Ganesh! It was a pleasure to learn more about you and MoogleLabs. I'm sure the community enjoyed getting to know you as well. I look forward to hearing from you again in the future about your journey in the AI/ML world! Best of luck with your projects and navigating through the tech industry.
