I was impressed by how they found ways to solve non-trivial problems!
Our team offers a solution for educational institutions that includes a set of equipment, software and teaching materials for the training of young innovative engineers. By the beginning of the pandemic and distance learning, we were faced with the need to digitize our learning process. Varwin is one of the notable companies in its industry in recent times. We have heard a lot about their successful developments for large businesses in various industries. Ultimately, our collaboration with Varwin didn't just help us digitize our robotics learning process - together with the team, we created an entirely new product on the market. Now the project is waiting for implementation and testing on the market, but I can already say that this is a new approach to teaching robotics. I was impressed by how they found ways to solve non-trivial problems! This is a professional team whose experience is impressive! -
They also implemented every little detail very meticulously, even what seemed insignificant to me.
Working with oil can be dangerous, so any worker must bring all his actions to automaticity and be confident in them. Many industries have started to implement VR for pre-training to avoid unnecessary risks. After evaluating the productivity and economic benefits of this solution, our oil company decided to introduce a VR solution into the process of training employees. The Varwin team has developed for us a series of VR courses on technical work and emergency response in an oil field. We have received a solution in which the employee performs tasks, and the program evaluates the effectiveness of the solution in points. The worker himself is in virtual reality, and the tasks reflect the details of his future work. Also, the coach monitors the process on behalf of the player on his 2D screen, and sees a table with points and individual problems of the student. There are many mechanics implemented in this project: liquid leaves stains on the ground, a shovel digs sand and can bury oil stains. The bucket fills with liquid when pressure is released. All this impresses with its realism. Inside the simulator, the capabilities of a tablet are implemented - this can be used in two modes: photo fixation of a violation and a list of tasks. I was delighted with how the team approached non-routine problems such as fluid behavior in a simulator. They also implemented every little detail very meticulously, even what seemed insignificant to me. They are really very hardworking and careful in their development. -
Varwin team created a demo version of the project, in which an employee can practice the mechanics of working on a forklift.
Part of the company's work is carried out in warehouses, where employees operate forklifts and reach trucks. We noticed that employees who have worked for a year or more begin to drive sloppy and violate industrial safety. It was necessary to create a simulator for working on a forklift. Varwin were one of the few major players in the VR market at the time of the creation of our project. They were the provider who offered to make a demo as soon as possible. Varwin team created a demo version of the project, in which an employee can practice the mechanics of working on a forklift. According to the scenario, a person finds himself in the cabin of a reach truck in a warehouse, adjusts the steering wheel and pedals in height so that it is comfortable to work, and carries out the movement of goods. As a complication, obstacles may appear along the route, which must be correctly bypassed, according to safety regulations. We are grateful to the Varwin developers for finding an effective solution to our problem and creating a demo version of the project in the shortest possible time. We will be glad to continue cooperation and start solving our problem with the help of virtual reality. Varwin rendered the forklift and completely transferred the control to the in-game steering wheel for PS4. Cargoes have real behavior and physics, for example, a box can fall if you put it crookedly. -
This is one of the most knowledgeable teams in VR simulators
1,200 probationers come to the bank every year: just few people know how to properly communicate with customers, so we decided to implement a VR training pilot to evaluate the effectiveness of VR and reduce the number of people involved in training. From the very beginning, we had ready-made scripts for employees. Based on them, the Varwin team wrote four scenarios for the most frequent communications with the client, such as dissuading them from closing the card or winning over a negative client. As soon as the trainee puts on the helmet, instructions are immediately shown: how to turn on the helmet and start the program, which mode to choose, how to record your voice and respond to remarks. The VR pilot is a novel of sorts: the trainee puts on a helmet and immerses himself in communication with a virtual client. We were always in touch with our project manager and knew all the relevant information about the development process. What seems to be VR development for learning, Varwin impresses with the amount of experience. Perhaps this is one of the most knowledgeable teams in VR simulators. -
We were impressed by the capabilities of the Varwin tool
More than 50 thousand people work at our factory, so it is difficult to keep track of everything that is happening. All employees must self-check their work environment and follow safety procedures. Accidents still happen despite the system of safety training for employees. The purpose of using the VR simulator is to teach factory employees to evaluate the workspace and to notice various kinds of violations. The task of employees is to go through the virtual locations of the factory with a tablet and take pictures of all violations. The Varwin team digitized and 3D modeled the seven workshops of the factory so a worker could move around them in VR and see everything as in reality. We wrote a scenario of violations, such as garbage, unnecessary objects in dangerous areas, violation of technical processes, etc. The training allows us to check even the correct equipment of a production employee drawn as an avatar. Now we are successfully using the project to train employees. We plan to connect the platform from Varwin to our internal system in order to automatically receive the results of passing courses within the usual accounting systems. The Varvin team is making a module with statistics and analytics for our main office. -
We spent a lot of time together discussing the details of the project and working on archive materials
In our exposition there is a deep-sea manned vehicle, which participated in a huge number of sea expeditions at a depth of 4,000 meters. The device is fully operational, but closed for viewing - visitors cannot look inside. Our guests have always been interested in what is inside the machine, so I thought it was a good idea to recreate the machine in a VR environment. We were deeply impressed that the team took the time to study the blueprints and archival photographs, as well as interview museum staff and deep-sea divers themselves. The Varwin team has earned the respect of all museum staff with their passion and attention to detail. The project combines educational and entertainment functions: we put virtual reality glasses on the user, and he immediately gets into the cockpit of the submarine, where he can view it from the inside and solve several problems of searching for deep-sea inhabitants and artifacts. Our Museum of the World Ocean now features a unique interactive exhibit thanks to the commitment and expertise of the Varvin team. It is hugely popular with visitors and recreated in VR with scientific accuracy. -
Game VR quest for the telecommunications company at a tradeshow
The Varwin team implemented a VR quest for us, where players need to get out of the rooms in virtual reality. Each room has a puzzle or task that is connected with the innovative direction of our company. Varwin specialists wrote the script and mechanics of the project as part of the project, and also drew landscapes, enemies and characters. It was really nice and easy to communicate with the team as they didn't use complex technical terms for non-technical users like us. We called up once a week and tested a working sample on ourselves several times. The speed of their development is really impressive! It took only a couple of months from project evaluation to the first working sample.
