Teros Verified Company

Teros is a San Francisco Bay Area company that builds and runs engineering teams for US startups, operated on the ground from the Río de la Plata in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. You own the team; we operate it. Sourcing, vetting, payroll, compliance, and day-to-day ground support are ours to run, in person, on UTC-3, with roughly six hours of overlap with San Francisco and eight with New York.

We've done this since 2013, taking Bay Area companies from pre-founding through late-stage, three of them to exit. The work spans software engineering, machine learning, computer vision, cloud-native, and infrastructure, plus the strategic technical guidance to move from idea to shipped.

How we work: we equip teams with ownership and trust, then get out of the way. Autonomy rooted in ownership produces innovative work with little waste, code worth shipping day after day. We don't treat engineers as interchangeable parts. Each is a unique contributor matched to your team rather than slotted into a seat, which is why average tenure runs three to five years. We reject over-complicated process and code as lazy, and value deliverables that are elegant in their simplicity.

In practice: a role scoped Monday and staffed by Friday; a visa or equipment question handled in person the same day, not filed as a ticket; engineers placed years ago still shipping to the same repos.
