Techova is a software development studio in Cairo. We get hired for two reasons: a team needs a product built properly the first time, or a team has a product that stalled and needs someone to take it over.
The second case is worth explaining, because it is where most of our reputation comes from. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture had a national guidance app, Murshidak, that had been compromised. The source code was gone and the project had stopped entirely. We rebuilt it from nothing - new codebase, new interface, restored calling, notifications and reservations - and shipped in four months. It now serves more than 500,000 users.
What we build most often is custom software a business actually runs on. For one of Egypt's largest nut and dry-goods distributors we built a consumer storefront and a Flutter app running live off their existing Odoo instance: 110+ categories, prices and tax that vary per customer, and stock timing that has to hold between the warehouse and the checkout. Anyone can pull a product list out of an ERP in an afternoon. The project lives in what happens when the ERP is unreachable mid-checkout, and that is the part we are good at.
We also build mobile apps for iOS and Android, first releases for teams testing a new product, and web platforms engineered to a performance budget - the corporate platform we built for El Sewedy Digital scores 100% across all four Lighthouse categories, which anyone can verify for themselves in thirty seconds.
Two things about how we work matter more than they sound. Arabic is not a translation step for us: when a product needs it, right-to-left layout is designed in from the first screen rather than retrofitted at the end. That is the difference between a product that reads naturally and one that reads like a mirror.
And you own everything from the first commit - repository, cloud accounts, app store accounts, in your organisation's name. Not on final payment, and never in an individual's name. Our contracts assign IP outright rather than promising to assign it later.
Cairo is UTC+2, which gives a full working day overlapping Europe and the Gulf, and covers the US East Coast morning.
