TatraByte is a one-person studio in Lubica, Slovakia, run by Andrej Petrulak. It builds websites, web applications and business automation for small companies - the kind of business that gets quoted a template plus a monthly fee, and ends up with a site nobody can change.
Everything is written by hand: HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with React or Astro where a project genuinely needs them, and React Native with Expo for mobile. No WordPress, no page builders, no theme bought once and resold a thousand times. That is not a stylistic preference. It is what makes a site load in under a second on a phone and stay maintainable two years later. The last build scored 100/100/100/100 on Google mobile Lighthouse.
Deployment runs on Cloudflare Workers and Pages, with D1 and cron jobs when a project needs a real backend. That lets a five-page business site and a full reservation system sit on the same infrastructure, at a running cost a small company can actually carry.
Services: business websites of one to eight pages, with the copy and on-page SEO written as part of the job rather than billed as an extra; web applications such as booking systems, quote calculators, internal dashboards and admin panels; mobile apps in React Native and Expo, shipped to Google Play and the App Store; business automation that connects invoicing, e-mail and other systems over APIs so nobody retypes the same data twice; technical SEO with structured data and Search Console setup; and rescue work on sites that were never built properly in the first place.
How it works: scope and price are agreed before anything starts, so there is no open meter. Every project is handed over deployed, tested and monitored, not delivered as a zip file for somebody else to figure out. Work is remote across Europe, in English or Slovak.
Live work includes a barbershop site launched in one week, a five-language guesthouse and restaurant site built to cut booking-platform commission, a full React and Vite rebuild for an IT services company, a request-to-book reservation product used by paying clients, and a shared shopping-list app published on both app stores.
