Spiral Scout is a San Francisco-based AI engineering firm that builds agent systems, workflow automation, and production-grade software for companies done with prototypes that never leave staging.

Founded in 2010 by John Griffin and Anton “JD” Titov, we have grown into a firm of 120+ senior engineers with 16 years of production engineering behind us. We are a certified Temporal Solution Provider, creators of Wippy.ai, an intelligent runtime for production-ready agent systems, and a Clutch Global Winner for AI Agents in 2025. 612+ projects shipped.

We build and maintain open-source infrastructure the industry depends on. Our engineers created RoadRunner, a high-performance PHP application server used worldwide, and the official Temporal PHP SDK. We contribute to the Temporal ecosystem and have spoken at the Replay conference.

The organizations we work with fall into two groups. The first is established professional services firms—accounting, legal, consulting, and financial services—where manual workflows and aging systems create drag. We encode the institutional knowledge those firms depend on into production AI systems that protect margins and keep knowledge from walking out the door when senior people leave. The second is founders building AI-native products in their former industries—ex-lawyers, CPAs, advisors, and operators who know their domain and need infrastructure that won’t collapse under real users and compliance requirements.
