- This place is definitely a site to behold and has a ton of items. A lot of it is for a great price some is a little expensive IMO. The only issue is it's not temperature controlled so it was. Very cold inside. Definitely worth a trip to check out.
- I heard of Second Chance from a neighbor when I was in the process of tearing down a house to build another. What an amazing concept! Their team came and in just 2 weeks, took our house apart piece by piece so that anything that could be reused, recycled or resold was not put to waste. They left our lot perfectly clean and were great to work with from start to finish. And I got a very nice tax deduction for the items from our home that were donated to their worthy cause. They were great to work with from start to finish and I highly recommend them!
- I am a home builder Arlington Virginia and have used Second Chance several times on our projects. Their crews are professional and do an incredible job carefully removing building materials from houses that would otherwise end up in landfills. They will remove everything from cabinets, countertops, wood floors, doors and windows and all the way down to insulation, wire, studs, rafters and floor joists. It’s very gratifying to see all of this perfectly good material find a new home. I lived in Baltimore City for 12 years before moving to VA. I used to love going to Second Chance, I would spend hours looking at all of the beautiful building materials they have to offer. Again, they have everything you need to build a home. They also have incredibly hard to find antique and vintage building materials so if you are a homeowner/builder looking for a hard to find item...Second Chance should be your first stop. I personally bought reclaimed floor joists from Second Chance to build a beautiful farmhouse kitchen table. So whether you are a builder or homeowner doing a large demo job and want to recycle material, give Second Chance a call. There are also some very nice tax incentives available and that’s always a good thing!
- Gigantic warehouse full of gently used furniture and other items for your house. The best thing about this place is the pricing system. Each tag has 3 prices on it. If you can wait a few months for whatever you're looking for you get it at half the price they originally asked for. Check it out!
- Beautiful. Flat, but uneven ground. Bathrooms are far from the entrance but are clean and stocked. Staff are wearing clothing with logos so they're easily identifiable. They're everywhere, so friendly, knowledgeable, and fun even just to greet in passing. Items are neat, organized, clean, and clearly labeled for prices and terms. There's a great mix of treasures to find at all styles and price points. So many incredible finds here, plan to make more than one trip! Head over on a rainy day and you'll pass the time before you know it.
