Palnode was entrusted with creating a comprehensive web hosting solution for Hostlika, an emerging player in the web hosting industry. This project encompassed the development of a complete web hosting system, including a dynamic website, an integrated billing system, the installation and configuration of WHM (WebHost Manager) on a VPS (Virtual Private Server), and the establishment of a robust hosting infrastructure.

Scope

1. Website Development

Our primary task was to design and develop a user-friendly website for Hostlika that would serve as the cornerstone of their online presence.

Custom Design: We created a visually appealing and professional website that effectively represents Hostlika’s brand. The design focused on user experience (UX) to ensure easy navigation and accessibility across various devices, from desktops to mobile phones.
Responsive Layout: The website features a responsive design, allowing it to adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes and resolutions. This ensures a consistent user experience whether accessed on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Content Management System: We integrated a user-friendly content management system (CMS) to enable Hostlika’s team to manage and update website content efficiently. This system supports easy updates to service listings, promotions, and other key information.

2. Billing System Integration

To manage client accounts and financial transactions efficiently, we developed a sophisticated billing system integrated into Hostlika’s website.

Automated Billing: The billing system automates the invoicing process, generating and sending invoices based on subscription plans and payment schedules. This reduces manual effort and helps avoid errors.
Payment Gateways: We integrated multiple payment gateways, allowing customers to pay using various methods such as credit/debit cards and electronic transfers. The payment process is secure and straightforward.
Subscription Management: The system includes features for managing subscriptions, including upgrades, downgrades, and renewals. Clients can view their current plans and billing history through an intuitive interface.
Administrative Tools: For Hostlika’s administrative team, we provided a comprehensive backend interface to manage accounts, view billing reports, and handle customer queries efficiently.

3. WHM Installation and Configuration

A critical part of the project was installing and configuring WHM (WebHost Manager) on a VPS server to manage web hosting accounts.

WHM Installation: We performed a meticulous installation of WHM on Hostlika’s VPS server, setting up the necessary environment for hosting operations.
Configuration: We customized WHM settings to align with Hostlika’s service offerings, including server security, user permissions, and performance optimization. This setup ensures efficient management of hosting accounts and resources.
Security Measures: We implemented robust security protocols to safeguard the server and customer data, including firewall configurations and regular backups.

4. Complete Web Hosting System

The final phase involved integrating all components into a cohesive web hosting system.

System Integration: We ensured that the website, billing system, and WHM were seamlessly integrated, creating a unified platform that supports smooth customer interactions and backend operations.
Scalability: The system was designed to accommodate future growth, including the potential for increased traffic and additional features.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Comprehensive testing was conducted to ensure the system’s functionality, performance, and security. This included performance testing, security assessments, and user experience evaluations.
