OpenKit is a UK AI consultancy based in Cambridge, with a second office in Durham. We work with organisations that need to know where AI actually pays back before they commit to building anything.

Most engagements begin with an AI Audit and Transformation. It is an independent, builder-neutral assessment that maps the work your people really do and ranks the candidate workflows against what it would take to supervise and integrate each one, and how quickly it pays back. It runs three to four weeks and carries the first rollout with it, so you finish with something already running rather than a document and a decision to make.

The report says no as well as yes. Where an off-the-shelf tool does the job, we say so, and where a workflow should not be automated at all we write that down and explain why.

Recent work includes an occupancy reporting proof of concept for FW Thorpe validated against around 6.5 million records, an AI marking platform specified for EMQN at 93 to 96 per cent per-criterion accuracy, and workflow mapping for Stow Brothers that measured 172 hours a month of administrative work.
