Mecexis is a custom software development studio based in Manresa (Barcelona), active since 2012. It designs and builds web and mobile applications, B2B e-commerce, management systems and artificial intelligence solutions for companies and startups. It integrates artificial intelligence into its clients' real operations, in production and not just in pilots. It maintains and evolves the systems it delivers for years, with the same team that built them, and the code, data and documentation always belong to the client.

It has always focused on demanding or pioneering projects, such as critical systems for the client's operations, hard technical challenges, research projects or complex requirements, which call for a deep understanding of the problem and quality engineering so they last years in production. Many of them handle sensitive data, such as health, employment and tax information, hosted in the European Union. Its technology base is Python/Django and Flutter, with its own system for building management panels and ERPs.

Since 2012 it has developed Carticious, its own e-commerce platform, built on Django and independent of solutions such as Shopify or PrestaShop. With it, it has created more than 20 online stores and B2B platforms with shared catalogues, customer-specific pricing and integration with each company's ERP.

Among its projects are the official app of the ACB, the association behind Spain's Liga Endesa, and Quiralis, a surgical management platform where document AI cut daily review from 8 hours to 20 minutes per person. It also built a B2B e-commerce network for the more than 50 partners of the Nou Grup purchasing group, and Vanguard Synapp, which turns engineering simulations into ASME and ACI verification reports. In total it has delivered more than 100 projects for more than 80 clients.

It put its first AI system into production in 2018, and the same team still maintains platforms it launched more than ten years ago, such as Babià One, the management system of an accounting firm that has grown with it since 2013. Projects are developed in short cycles with a shared roadmap, so clients use each version in production before deciding the next step.
