- Wendy and Sean are very warm, enthusiastic, inviting and inclusive folks that bleed love for all things design! Super talents and super good humans!
- Sean is super supportive of the creative scene in Austin. We are grateful that he let us host the poster show Afterhours in the Lewis Carnegie gallery for two years running!
- Sean and Wendy are pillars in Austin's Design Community. Always supporting, leading and celebrating all things creative.
- Visited Lewis Carnegie for an AIGA Austin Under the Radar series talk. East Austin has this dryer, more sophisticated, artistic atmosphere wildly different from the downtown center across 35. LC was no different, and other patrons were eclectic and almost melted into the expressionistic, aware culture of this east austin design studio. Good conversation in the fence-enclosed grassy outdoor yard, and convertible multi purpose gallery interior. Super cool, forward place for the visually-inclined and perceptive.
- I attended a Peerspace networking event at this gallery and I am surprised to say that I didn't even know this place existed. It is on the back side of the building and you enter through the fenced in back yard. In speaking to the owner I found out that they are not just a gallery but, that you can also rent out the space for events. The space is half indoor and half outdoor, has a bathroom, air conditioned inside, projector and sound installed in the inside space, privacy fence and the laid back Austin feel. The roll up garage doors make for one continuous space from the outside to the inside. I could see networking events, receptions for weddings, cocktail hours or smaller corporate fundraisers being pulled off very well in this space. The space is definitely industrial and bright on the inside with clean lines and the backyard feels like you are in your own backyard. The art that they had inside when we were there was reminiscent of movie posters/comic book covers. Great East side space to stop in and see some art.
