Iris Edge Studios is an independent game development studio based in Portugal, founded in 2019. We specialise in Unity development, with a particular focus on mobile games for iOS and Android.

We can take a game from an early concept or prototype through production, testing, store submission and release, or join an existing project where additional Unity development is needed. Our work includes full-game development, co-development, porting, gameplay programming, runtime UI, save systems, localisation, backend integration, optimisation and the technical work required to get a game ready for launch.

A major part of our approach is understanding that shipping a game involves much more than implementing gameplay. We also work on areas such as platform integration, privacy and compliance, deep links, store configuration, app signing, release pipelines, analytics, ASO preparation and launch support. This makes us particularly useful for projects that are technically close to completion but still need someone to handle the final production and publishing details.

We primarily work with Unity and build for mobile-first projects, while keeping portability and maintainability in mind from the beginning. We are comfortable entering an existing codebase, solving specific technical problems, improving systems that have grown difficult to maintain, or taking ownership of a defined part of production.

Alongside external development work, Iris Edge Studios develops its own games. Our portfolio includes Cowardly Heroes and Pinteza, a daily word game for iOS and Android. Building and publishing our own titles means our experience extends beyond development itself into testing, localisation, store requirements, release management and post-launch support.

Iris Edge Studios intentionally operates as a small, hands-on studio. Projects are not passed through layers of account management: the people discussing the technical problem are the same people working directly on the game. We aim to be a practical development partner for indie studios, publishers and small teams that need reliable Unity expertise, extra production capacity, or help getting a game across the finish line.
