ConvrtX Verified Company

My experience with ConvrtX has been nothing short of atrocious. They couldn’t even complete a simple website to the agreed standard, never mind a complex app. I had the misfortune of coming across them in 2021. Two years later, I have nothing of substance, nothing I can use for my business. Deadlines constantly missed, poor communication, the team constantly changed, and the CEO provided many promises which were not kept. I’ve experienced what I perceive to be sexual harassment from their previous legal counsel. Their newest legal counsel has sent emails to my solicitor accusing me of having severe mental health issues, saying that I make all or the majority of my income with the products they made (yeah right, I’ve not made a penny with them, because they are atrocious). I still use my old woocommerce website because what they delivered as a new website doesn’t function as commissioned. Their current legal counsel has been vile to me - mockingly comparing me to Prince Harry, threatening to ask the UK Crown Court to give me a custodial sentence, accusing me of extortion (LOL no, even if ConvrtX did refund me which they have so far refused, I’d still warn people against them). I honestly would not wish my experience on my worst enemy. The only good thing to have come out of this for me is that I have connected with some other clients who believe they’ve been scammed and gone through similar to me, and we are able to support each other through this nonsense. I’d personally stay well clear of ConvrtX and any other companies associated with their founder and co-founder (they have the same last name, so clearly related).

I have been nothing but disappointed in the way that Covrtx performs their business. I am currently in a full refund claim with them as they have provided nothing to me. They have collected the money and provide simple mock ups to keep me believing the app will be completed BUT when it was time to test the app there was nothing even close to a testable version of what i asked for. its been 3 years now and I still have nothing - I can show anyone who would like to see the emails and conversations with them and now their lawyer all giving me the run around and just postponing over and over. the person who is in charge of my app has told me that what I paid for can not even be done and its now on "hold". my advise is to NOT use this company and I base this on the horrible service I have been given - you may also want to look up this company as there is a lot of information on the web about this type of thing happening to multiple people. I would assume that all the positive reviews are possibly not real customers.

In 2020 I put out an ad on Bark for a company to build a tech app for me. I was approached by ConvrtX who SEEMED legitimate. Started off great with Yasmine, Jamie, Bob, etc. I felt supported and truly believed this was a company that cared about seeing my ideas and vision become a reality. Very much loved the design work and pitch deck/business plan. Went downhill from there. As a creator more than a business mind, I was hoping for more guidance on the path to the App becoming a business. However, meetings with Josh were more like a jigsaw puzzle of "Let's see if you can figure it out as we go, with 10 missing pieces". I'm a very coachable person... but I need to understand, like most, the actual game I'm being coached to play. I was suddenly told that my Crowd Fund work (which I paid for) would not be handed over until purchased a website... this was NOT mentioned prior to joining up. At this point I flat-out asked multiple people at Convrtx: "Does the company actually care whether my App is a success... or is this all about the Upsell? Does Convrtx have any actual skin in the game?" The silence was deafening. The very dubious crunch came when I was repeatedly asked to register my business in Delaware (a notorious tax shelter), and upon saying that I had already registered the business in Canada (the logical thing to do, since I live in Canada), Josh basically said: "Yeah... none of my investors will touch you." I haven't heard a word since, except for the occasional customer service call to say: "How is your experience with Convrtx?" (Which I naturally NEVER get a follow up on, when I tell them how disappointed I am) Very disheartening. Did I make mistakes along the way? Yes. Was I naïve? Very much so, it would seem. Should I have asked many more questions at the beginning? Absolutely. Am I accountable for the mistakes I made on this journey? Totally. But, bottom line... this company took my money and did not deliver the services I paid for. I have since discovered that this has happened to multiple founders. If you were scammed by ConvrtX... You are not alone!
