Cold is a six-person digital agency in Basildon, Essex. We design and build websites in Webflow, create brands, and run SEO and paid advertising for businesses that want more enquiries and a clear view of where they came from.

The agency started in 2023, when Sam Twigg began taking on web projects from his bedroom while working two jobs. Three years on, there's an office at Chester Court, a team of designers, developers and SEO specialists, and more than 100 projects delivered for clients from Southend to Glasgow. Around 90% of new work still arrives by referral.

How we work

Every project starts with research: the market, the competitors, how people search for the service and what AI assistants say when asked who to hire. Design and build happen in the same room as the SEO, so structure, page titles and schema are in place before launch. Websites are built in Webflow, where Cold is a Certified Partner, and handed over with a CMS the client's own team can update.

After launch, most clients stay with us. SEO retainers include technical work, local search, content, link building and AI search visibility. Paid campaigns run on Google Ads and LinkedIn. Tracking through GA4 and Google Tag Manager ties each enquiry to its source, and every month the person running the account writes the report.

We publish our prices, which is still rare for an agency. Websites run from £3,000 to £25,000 depending on the specification, branding projects typically cost around £3,000, and SEO and ads management each start at £1,000 a month. Recent work includes a full brand and website for Dissident Automotive, which makes carbon fibre parts for Porsche and other high-end car brands, and naming, branding and search for Nexform, a 3D printing firm, where organic clicks rose 200% and paid enquiries came in at £12.49 each.
