Great service and value, thanks Gary!

I opened up an account with this company back when it was Whatcom Web / Big Time Host to manage some of the websites and domains I worked with. I thought all was fine at the time, but I soon realized they did not provide the level of expertise and flexibility I needed, so I moved off to another hosting company. Not only was the tooling inadequate for my needs, but it seemed difficult to use. Fast forward to now.. I recently began another move to get everything into Google Domains (highly recommend) and AWS. Within that move I went through all my domains that were bought over the years and consolidated them all. I found one of these domains to still be managed by ClickMonster (of which I left as auto-renew every year, as I do with all my domains so I don't lose ownership). Upon research I found that this domain was up for sale (at a hefty price as well... great) and was confused because I owned it. I contacted Gary concerning the status of my domain that he managed and he could not provide any information. All he referenced was an auto-generated email that was sent several years ago that begin with, I quote, "IF YOUR DOMAIN IS SET UP FOR AUTOMATIC RENEWAL, YOU CAN DISREGARD THIS NOTICE...." and it then went into steps to renew if otherwise necessary. When I questioned him regarding why I was not auto-renewed, I was met with attitude and stated that it was so long ago and he had no records why it happened. I did further researching in my inbox over the years for anything relating to this and found further proof that I actually did try transferring it away from them (which seemingly failed) and I brought that to his attention, but he offered no help still. Now I'm out of a domain I once secured that is actually worth a good amount of money today. I have no way of regaining this. Ultimately it was my fault for entrusting this in the hands of Click Monster. I wouldn't recommend working with them to any peers or agencies doing web work. You might be ok going with them for something small, or hobby related, but I wouldn't do anything for official companies and definitely not any ecommerce related websites, or else you risk losing ownership of assets, and potentially loss of data for that matter.
