BRACKETS is a 20-person digital product studio based in Bratislava, Slovakia, operating since 2015 as part of the TRIAD and DevinBand group. We help companies figure out what to build, and then build it properly.
What we do
Custom software development. Web platforms, mobile apps, and complex enterprise systems. Every project gets a product manager, designer, architect, and senior engineers who own the outcome from discovery to production.
Legacy system takeover. We take over codebases from previous vendors, audit what shape they're in, and modernise them module by module. With AI-assisted analysis, migrations that used to take months now take weeks.
SaaS replacement. When you're paying for tools that fit only part of your process, building your own often becomes the cheaper option. We replace SaaS in phases, not big-bang rewrites, and you own the source code.
AI and agentic engineering. We use AI agents in delivery with senior engineers owning architecture and review, and we build AI into client products: assistants, computer vision, intelligent workflows.
Fractional technical leadership. Not every company needs a full-time CTO. We provide senior technical leadership on a fractional basis, typically one to two days per week.
Embedded senior teams. Sometimes you don't need a whole project delivered, you need experienced people inside your existing team. We embed architects and senior engineers who bring domain knowledge and technical decisions with them, not just extra hands.

They built our SaaS platform, handed it over without a rewrite
We're a SaaS company building agency management software. BRACKETS were our product development partner while we built the platform, and the way that engagement ended matters more to me than how it ran. The scope was the core of the product: resource planning and capacity management, time tracking connected directly to budgets and projects, budget management from estimate through to invoice, and reporting that pulls project, finance and resource data into one place. They also built our Tempo integration, so agencies already tracking time in Jira don't enter it twice. Back end and design were theirs throughout. They worked as a product team rather than a supplier. When we brought a feature request, the first response was usually a question about the assumption underneath it. Occasionally annoying, usually right, and it changed what we built more than once. Since handover we've added around 500 new users and expanded into markets including the UK, Lithuania, Italy or South Africa. The platform scaled without needing to be rebuilt. Our own team took the codebase over and has been developing it independently since. That last part is what I'd tell anyone considering them. Plenty of agencies say they'll hand something over. Not many leave you with a codebase clean enough that you actually can.
