Appotype is a European software development agency built around one focus: medical-grade software done properly. Founded by Mateusz Chechliński, who spent more than ten years building products before starting the company, Appotype grew from a simple belief. Clients deserve a technology partner who understands their challenges, not a vendor who only writes code.
Regulated medical software is our home ground. We design and build software engineered to meet the requirements for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) under EU MDR, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485. We understand quality management, risk management, regulatory affairs, and post-market surveillance in depth, so digital health teams can move from idea to compliant, market-ready product with fewer surprises.
We are not only a medtech studio. We also create web and mobile applications, IoT systems, and AI features, including LLM integration and RAG architectures, on a modern React, TypeScript, and Node.js stack. Every engagement starts with UX research and design discovery, because the cheapest way to fix a product is before a single line of code is written.
What makes us different is how we work. We are a small, senior team, so you will never feel like just another ticket in a queue. We stay with you across the entire lifecycle, from the first workshop through long-term support. We identify risks early. We share the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. And we hire people based on their values first.
As an EU-based partner, we take digital sovereignty and data protection seriously, and we can deploy on sovereign European cloud infrastructure aligned with frameworks such as NIS2 and DORA. The result is a focused, trustworthy partner that pairs real engineering depth with genuine regulatory know-how, and treats every project as a problem worth solving well.
