Acorn Works is an AI development company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. We design and build custom software for small and midsized businesses, from a complete operating system down to a single AI agent that takes one repetitive job off someone's desk.

Most clients reach us with the same problem: the business has outgrown off-the-shelf subscriptions and spreadsheets, and nothing on the market fits how they actually work. We build the tool that does.

Custom business apps for web, iOS and Android: scheduling and time clocks, maintenance tracking, inventory, hiring pipelines, billing and customer portals. AI goes in where it saves real time, not as decoration.

AI agents and chatbots: website chatbots, AI that scores and routes incoming leads, assistants that answer staff questions from your own policies and documents, and AI review of invoices and documents with a person signing off on anything involving money.

Text, voice and email automation: two-way business texting, AI call handling, automatic reminders and confirmations, and shared team inboxes, all tied into the systems you already use.

Data cleanup and consolidation: pulling records out of scattered spreadsheets, old databases and a pile of software subscriptions into one clean source, so reporting is accurate and AI has something reliable to work from.

We have delivered 20 projects for entertainment and event venues, construction companies, auto service businesses, youth sports organizations and marketing agencies, connecting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Zoho, Twilio, Microsoft SQL Server, OpenAI and Anthropic Claude.

Every project opens with a Genesis meeting where we map what the business needs with the people who do the work. We then build with a progress meeting every week, run a beta on real work, launch and train your team, and stay on for monthly support if you want us. You own the code and the data.

We're a small, hands-on team, so you talk directly to the people writing your software. We work in person across Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio, and remotely with clients across the US.
